to be trimmed late thursday night...
to be mailed friday afternoon...
all the good-tidings have been sealed, stamped and mailed as of this afternoon. woohoo. getting the cards in the mail is always such a great feeling (a big wintery mix of joy, relief and amazement). i have always loved making and sending them out to family and friends. i do wish however i could get them done a bit earlier in december... i'm pretty sure each year i say that... beginning with a little x-acto trimming late, late thursday night the card process went rather smoothly. i spent most of the day today making up each one with margaret helping when she could. and while we worked, we talked. you know, about stuff... about snow. about yoko ono. about holiday parties. and about cookies...
while i stuffed envelopes, margaret got a jump start on thinking about this year's baking. with a slew of magazines and books on the floor, she went through them one by one and selected her top picks for the baking we have planned for this weekend. (and she then preceded to scribe them down in a list form that i think only she can decipher)...
so, whew. with the cards on their way, we can now turn our attention to the various other bits of homemade-seasonal-creations-and-doings this weekend... i'm thinking perhaps we'll begin with breaking out the whisks and aprons. wishing a wonderful weekend to all.
