remember the stack of fabrics i stumbled across at the thrift store? well, i had some time to sew a little something with it a few weeks ago. something for margaret. something for the early autumn days when tank tops nor sweaters will do... a lightweight long-sleeve shirt.
i closely followed "pattern l" from this japanese sewing book, which included a small front pocket, a flower embellishment made from coiled fabric, a front, a back and sleeves. puffy long-sleeves no less. flowy long-sleeves to cover little arms on crisp seasonal days — so they can comfortably go about their business of collecting acorns, climbing trees and giving hugs.
