• date = thursday. twelfth of june.
• weather = sunny
• conditions = quiet, open space.
• population = my mom, margaret, myself and the birds... a few farm workers harvesting something in a distance space.
• observations = sea of green plants with an abundant supply of the best reddness under the sun. a mood of great joy abounds.
• conclusion = in a word... yum!
tis the season to gather up your loved ones and find a local organic field filled with these simple sweet berries, celebrate and bask in the goodness. it is such a short lived window that they are here, (perhaps two weeks?) — as always we try to enjoy and savor them. while nothing beats a berry fresh picked, still warm from the sun (as margaret naturally illustrated every few minutes out in the field)... we found out they're also pretty awesome in this strawberry rhubarb pie. happy picking!
