rose hip conserve. cooking with steam. beaded curtains. some things to consider about communal living... can this book be any crunchier? it is my new favorite. all the text and images are hand drawn by the author. little bits of information from the 70s that are still so inspiring. the page i keep going back to is the sewing instructions for your own mexican peasant blouse. they are written so casually that they have me believing that yeah, i might actually be able to sew my own blouse. cool. i'm on the lookout for the right fabric. maybe something in my fabric stash, maybe something new. so while i may not be quite able to go out back and fire up the solar stove or start building my yurt there are many things in this warm, artful book for me that keep it out on my table.
