ready to wrap

fresh off the needles and ready to be wrappped - wrapped up as a gift and given to a friend, soon to then be wrapped around ten new little toes in a few weeks. i found this free pattern, very small, on the wrapper of some cotton yarn. the yarn i was using for our plant cozy. i've since been quite anxious to give it a try. with my friend in mind, i started a pair of booties this weekend — allowing myself plenty of time to work through the project, in case it took weeks and weeks to complete this gift (or as in the case of my still-in-progress legwarmers, months and months) — and low and behold, with the knit two at once method (something else that had been waiting on my knitting *must try* list.) it went much faster than expected. definitely a quick knit project. i finished them up this morning, debated probably a little too long about using the green wool for bows or leaving them plain, snapped their photo and now these wee little feet warmers are ready to go. sweet.
